FAQ

Company set-up questions

Private limited, LLP or OPC — which should I choose?

A private limited company suits businesses planning to raise investment or grow a team. An LLP is simpler to run for professional partnerships. An OPC gives a solo founder limited liability. We walk through your plans and recommend one.

How long does registration take?

Usually 7–10 working days from receiving complete documents. Name approval and incorporation depend on MCA processing, so we keep you updated at each step.

What government fees will I pay?

MCA filing fees and stamp duty, which vary by structure, state and authorised capital. We show them line by line in your quote, separate from our professional fee.

Can I use my home as the registered office?

Yes. You need a recent utility bill for the address and a no-objection letter from the owner if the property isn’t in your name.

How many people do I need?

A private limited company needs at least two directors and two shareholders (they can be the same people). An LLP needs two designated partners. An OPC needs one member and a nominee. At least one director must be resident in India.

What do I need to do after incorporation?

Open the bank account, appoint the first auditor within 30 days, file the commencement-of-business declaration and set up bookkeeping. Ongoing filings are covered by our ROC & annual compliance service.

Do I need GST registration straight away?

Only if your turnover or type of business requires it, or your clients ask for a GSTIN. We tell you on the call and can add GST registration to the quote.
